SAP has provided the HANA Sandbox System to learning purpose. You can register yourself at http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/hana to request for your access.
You can also evaluate HANA One developer edition available on Amazon Cloud with nominal AWS hosting charges.
You can also try out few demos provided to get a feel of SAP HANA

Do we have to keep data in 2 different databases other than SAP Database to make this Hana work? That is in SAP BI and in SAP Hana.

Yes its a totally different database.Right now HANA is used for the
reporting purpose.So your coredata base will be copied to HANA and
that will be used to generate the report faster.

I was preparing for HANA and found this wonderful wesite.
The first step you mentioned SAP HANA sandbox access, when I click the URL, to register myself at https://www.experiencesaphana.com , do not see the place to register. Is it still valid or changed?esnips I was able to download EIM162. pdf but not able succeed the exercise one. Please let me know, how can I complete both to do some practice. Also is there any other place can download the certification material.

Knowledge of BI/BW is always good to have but not mandatory. At present there are no SAP education partner which provides SAP HANA courses in Bangalore. You might have to check individual folks who provide this.
Interestingly we are also planning to start a online SAP HANA online course in couple of months. We would publish all these details once we finalise the plan.
