Get your access to SAP IDES system in 2 simple steps.

1. Request a User Account

Once you fill in all necessary details and execute. You will recieve a mail regarding your login credentials.

Click here to Create your account

2. Login using SAP WAS.

For logging you have two options

Using Internet Browser: Here you need not install anything on your end and you can login from any system which has a internet connection. Only setback is that all the screen are rendered as html pages which usually gives you a slower browsing experience.

Using SAP GUI :Here you need to install SAP GUI in your local system create a item for logging. This will give a better looks and the response is also comapratively faster. If you have a S-USER ID you can download it from the following link for Windows.

If you don’t have a S-USER ID then you can use the following link.

Use the following details for creating a new item in your SAP GUI.

I want to use Mini saP for ABAP from my company but it is behind firewall so access to

is restricted. What can be done to get around it ?

Also, can you tell the disk space and memory needed to install mini sap on my vista laptop.

Hi Manish,
Please use MiniSAP for basic basis and security tcodes. IDES doesn’t allow you to play with the Security Roles and profiles..

Look for book NET310 and start reading it as well..

Sales organization is master data i don’t think Free IDES system will allow you to create it.

If its showing the error related to S_DEVELOP object , we cant do anything else with this authorization object .

How can I access SAP APO .I tried to create my account but there were not choice of SAP APO , all modules in user ID request screen was mainly for ECC modules.

Need your help. I had learnt FICO from a local institute and i am now looking to learn ABAP using online material. I am currently reading the “Sam’s teach yourself ABAP/4 in 21 days”. In this book there few basic programs and requires access to ABAP/4 editor.
Could you please advise if i can use the ABAP development learning in consolut IDES, if yes then where can i find it. I am newbie to the ABAP and to consolut, so request your kind help in detail.

You cannot do development in SAP IDES. Please use miniSAP Instead.

Thank you for your efforts.
Is SAP IDES system consist of SD, MM modules and can I use it as an end user (not an IT professional for configuration and do something like this). I worked with Netsis software that is very similar to SAP.

You can access and practise MM and SD modules in the IDES. Go ahead and learn. You might not have critical configuration access. This is a ideal system for you to learn..

You Can work with Webdynpro for ABAP,
Not sure about ADOBE forms just give it a try if you can see the Form layout.

Thanks for sharing this information. I am a Business Consultant in UK and want to get into SAP FICO right now. I haven’t got any training and knowledge around FICO but did work on ABAP, MM and SD 5-6 years ago in India.
Could you please suggest me which books I should read and practice for FICO?
Also, if I want to practice at home then which version of SAP and miniSAP I require to install.
I have built one specific PC for this purpose now and ready to practice so any help will be much appriciated.

Hi GS,
The standard certification materials like TFIN50,TFIN52 would help you in learning FICO.
You can use the free SAP IDES system provided in the article or install SAP IDES in your pc to practice.. MiniSAP is only useful for developers.

You already have BI data modelling access in SAP IDES and a Demo Portal for BI at http://portal.consolut.eu:51000/irj.
Both of them can be accessed with your IDES Credentials.
